”We develop soccer players to their fullest potential by providing the best soccer training in Greater Cincinnati.”

Classics Hammer FC Youth Development Academy

Classics Hammer FC is taking our highly successful YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY and making it better. CHFC has combined our seasonal YDA programs to create a more developmentally year-long program. The new program will give our qualified and experienced staff more contact with your child and also give your child a more developmentally sound option to recreational and select soccer programs.

Why a year-long program?

A year-long program enables our staff to better evaluate each player and give each of them the time and attention needed to develop and begin to master the basic skills needed to be successful and enjoy the game. This program will also give every player the chance to learn from multiple staff members at CHFC resulting in a more well- rounded soccer experience.

What are the benefits to your child?

It has been statistically proven that kids who are having fun and are given the chance to participate in a sport with friends want to play more and tend to stay active in the sport they choose. Our year-long YDA gives your child the chance to make new friends at CHFC while still getting to play for their local team and those friends.

Our program gives every player the opportunity to train in a professional environment without the pressures of league standings and game results. The results in an environment where each child gets to develop at their own pace and have fun while doing it. This a benefit no other training program in this area offers.

Building Blocks - The Foundation for Future Success

Started in Fall 2005, The Youth Development Academy was a natural progression from our fall U8 clinics and U9/U10 training methods.
It is the foundation of Classics Hammer FC with a curriculum aimed at instilling a "Passion for the Game" and developing each child's technical, psychomotor and psycho-social skills.

All training is based on instilling a foundation of technical proficiency for future successes. We place a high priority on teaching players dribbling moves to beat a defender, completing passes, and receiving the ball with direction and deception.

U7-U9 Academy
Classics Hammer FC does not form teams at U7 or U8; however, many of our players do participate in local rec leagues. At this age, the Youth Development Academy is not meant as an alternative to recreational soccer, rather it is meant to compliment the local leagues by providing a higher standard of training by our professional staff coaches to prepare players for select soccer without the pressures associated with select soccer at such a young age.

U9 players not yet wanting to join Classics Hammer FC teams may also join this program.

The curriculum focuses on skill development using small-sided games of 1v1 and 2v2. Each player will have hundreds of ball touches every session.
