Blue Chip Hammer Cup2nd Annual Blue Chip Hammer Cup April 4th and 5th, 2009
Blue Chip Hammer Cup Application
Application Deadline: February 20th, 2009
Classics Hammer FC is proud to announce that it will host the 2nd Annual Blue Chip Hammer Cup (April 4th and 5th, 2009). The Blue Chip Hammer Cup was designed to be a club-friendly event and an extension of our Nationally recognized adidas Blue Chip College Showcase.
Much time and effort goes into putting on this event. As a club, we were very proud of how the event turned out last year. Below are a few quotes from clubs that played in our inaugural event.
“Loved the tourney… fields were great, officiating was great, host was great” St. Louis SC
I would like to thank you for hosting our club this past weekend. We found the event very worthwhile from timing and competitive aspects; we are looking forward to a continued relationship with your club in the future!” Michigan Rush
“Just wanted to extend a thank you from SWISA for a great tournament last weekend. We had a great time and the competition was tremendous. We appreciated all of the nice touches - free T's, coaches chairs, etc. Also, I wanted you to know that everyone associated with the event was very friendly and helpful. Overall the refs did a solid, consistent job. It was also nice that you were able to play when events in just about every other city in the region had to cancel. Tell everyone great job.” SWISA
“I have no idea what you would do to improve. We have been to Nashville, Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Dayton, IN, PA, NY plus some others I can't think of. Your tournament was put together as nice as anyone's. The individual team letter in the packet by age/gender, the t-shirts for all, the ball bag for all, the high quality program, the snacks to hand out, the coach's chair. It clearly shows you guys put some real time and effort into organizing.” Cleveland United
We designed this tournament to meet very specific goals in player and club development. Here are just some of the highlights...
- Single site (no driving from one site to another)
- 90 team maximum (U9 – U14 Boys and Girls)
- U9 Boys and Girls:
- Festival environment
- 5 teams per gender
- 4 Games per team (no finals)
- U10 through U14 Boys and Girls:
- three (3) game minimum with a final
- two (4) team brackets
- All referees will be certified experienced adult referees
- All participants receive a tournament T-shirt
- All Head Coaches receive a Blue Chip Hammer Cup Gift
- GOTSoccer Soccer Scheduler program to avoid coaching conflict and maximize national ranking points
