Why Small-Sided Games?
Why Small-sided Games? This page is aimed at communicating with the Classics Hammer FC membership and any who wish to read about small-sided games. This page is for informational purposes only and is not aimed at disparaging its detractors.
To be clear, even though Classics Hammer FC supports the full implementation of small-sided games through U12, our relationship within soccer to C.U.S.L and Ohio-South is important to us and we will continue to work with our friends in soccer toward the collective benefit of our players.
As an organization, we endeavor to develop the best soccer players in Cincinnati to their utmost potential. As a club with a 100% paid coaching staff, our support of SSG is based purely on the developmental and enjoyment factors we believe SSG provide. In our opinion SSG is not a coaching issue. Rather, it reflects the cognitive abilities of children and the increased number of opportunities to display technique and make decisions in the competitive arena that is the "game".
The views expressed on this site are the views of the former Classics Hammer FC Technical Director, Mike Cullina.
