Brian Bronowski: Technical Director

With more than 19 years of coaching experience across all ages and genders, Coach Bronowski is the perfect choice.  He holds the US Youth Soccer A license, the NSCAA Premier Diploma, the NSCAA Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma, and the US Youth Soccer National Youth License.

The previous six years, Coach Bronowski has served as DOC for the Classics FC (Olentangy Youth Athletic Association) in Columbus. In that role, he managed both the Boys and Girls select and recreational programs, overseeing programs for more than 3000 players. More importantly, Coach Bronowski has significant ODP experience as a Region II Staff Coach. He has collegiate experience as Assistant Men’s Coach at William & Mary and professional experience as Assistant Coach and Director of Youth Soccer for the Virginia Beach Mariners.


Stephen Hauter, Director of Coaching-Boys (U14-U18)Steve Hauter
Stephen Hauter is a 19 year veteran in Coaching and brings a history of demonstrated coaching and training success, an intense passion for the game and an innate ability to teach life lessons through soccer strategies, skills and techniques. Coach Hauter has an impressive resume as a player and coach with professional roles as player, coach, technical trainer, skill evaluator, tournament and camp director all adding to his cadre of skills as a lifelong learner in the field. Coach Hauter has instructed others in soccer coaching skills for over ten years both in Illinois, as well as Ohio.

Stephen has significant Olympic Development (ODP) experience both in Illinois as a State Staff Coach and Boys Director of ODP and in Ohio where he has been named as the Director of Cincinnati District ODP and has coached state teams in Ohio for the last 3 years. Stephen has coached eight players who have moved into professional soccer organizations and he firmly believes that a solid foundation can be taught, learned and applied to create an exceptional player.

Stephen will serve as the Classics Hammer Director of Coaching U14-18 Boys as well as Classics Hammer Operations Manager. Stephen will also serve as the Men’s College Coordinator and the Men’s Blue Chip College Showcase liaison.

Coach Hauter currently holds a U.S.S.F. “A” License and “National Youth” License and is on Regional Staff for Region II.

The Men’s Director of Coaching – Boys reports to the Technical Director.



Clay Revis, Director of Coaching-Girls (U13-U18)
Clay Revis started the U15-U18 Hammer Girls Select program in 1989 by merging his club - Hammer FC - with Cincinnati Classics. He is now responsible for the development of all U13-U18 girls teams.

Coach Revis has won numerous State Cups, six Regional Championships and a US Youth Soccer National Championship. He has coached eight players that have played in the US Soccer National Teams Program and more than 100 of Revis' former players have gone on to play NCAA Division I soccer. Thousands of his players have played in their respective high schools and many of his former players are now coaching.

Clay generated a successful record at the High School level as well. For the five years Clay was the head coach at Walnut Hills High School he produced two Sectional Champions and two Regional runner-up teams.

Thom Nickley, Director of Coaching-Youth (U9-U12)
Thom Nickley has been a part of the Classics Hammer FC organization since 1997 and is widely regarded as one of the top Youth Academy Directors in the Region.

He is a member of the Ohio South Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program at the District and State level, representing Ohio South at the US Youth Region II Camp.

Thom has lead his teams to multiple league and top-ranked tournament titles and has helped with the development of many players who have gone on to have success in the Ohio South Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program with several of his players to the US Youth Soccer Region II Camps.

He is a life-long Cincinnati, Ohio resident who graduated from Wilmington College with a degree in Athletic Training as well as attending Miami University for graduate work.

Thom Nickley holds a USSF "National D" License.

Greg Berning, Director of Goalkeeping
Greg Berning was named as the Director of Goakeeping in July, 2008 after spending two years as the Head Goalkeeper Academy Coach.  Greg also worked with the U11 and U12 boys and girls teams and coached the 93/94 Premier Girls.

Coach Berning came to Classics Hammer FC in January 2006 after spending 12 years with Cardinal Soccer Club, where he served as an Assistant Director of Coaching and Director of Goalkeeping.

Greg was an integral part of making the Cardinal Soccer Club one of the most Nationally recognized girls' clubs in the 1990's. With the Cardinals Greg was a part of countless State Cup and Regional Champions and his pupils have received five National Goalkeeper MVP awards. Greg has worked for many clubs and camps around the city and state including GB soccer international with New Castle player Warren Barton and a specialized camp with Mia Hamm.

Coach Berning is currently a staff coach for the Ohio South Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program.

Greg Berning holds a US Soccer "B" and "National Youth" Licenses.
